The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) follows the disused Brisbane Valley rail line that commenced construction at Wulkaraka near Ipswich in 1884 and was completed at Yarraman in 1913. The BVRT winds its way along the western side of the Brisbane River traversing farm land, forests, picturesque rural settings and country towns. Being on the old railway line, the BVRT provides an easy climb up the valley for day trippers, overnight camping or longer term adventures.

As you can see on the map there is several stages of the trail. I recommend starting at start of course, Wulkuraka, this is what i’ve done. Then using the chart below workout how far you think you can handle. Hint: You will handle a whole lot more on an E-BIke! There are great options for accomodation and camping along the way. Picking up your bikes in Brisbane is free of course as long as you can safely transport the bikes to the BVRT.
– The 6 seater van can carry 5 bikes so the rates can be split between a max of 5 riders.
– This is private shuttle service, you don’t share with other people.
– Delivery Services are only available to clients renting bikes

REQUIREMENTS
– On pick up, a photo will be taken of either drivers license, passport or proof of age card.
SECURITY DEPOSITS
A security deposit of $500 is required prior to your first rental day. Payment via credit card or direct deposit is accepted. While we are sure you will take the best possible care of our rental bikes, accidents can happen and damages to the bikes need to be covered by the rider. By signing the Forbes MTB policy you authorise Forbes MTB to use your security deposit to cover any damages (or loss of the bike). Your $500 security deposit per bike will be returned when bike/s are returned without damages.
Tour/Bike Hire Damage
I, Ben Forbes am fortunately a professional bicycle mechanic so in most situations there will be no labour charges and I have a partnerships with wholesalers for much lower prices on parts. In the unfortunate case of a rental bike sustaining damage, I will access and quote the damage as cheap as it will cost me, email an invoice for the damages to be paid for if they exceed your security deposit amount.
Wording from policy which is signed at time of booking
1) I accept full responsibility for all equipment hired by myself, partner, third party
or child if (under the age of 18 years) and agree to pay for any equipment damage incurred during my hire period and agree to damage costs being withheld from rental bond to cover repair costs.
